Hi

In one of the posts I've just read, someone was talking about weed wipes.  We had a problem with really big flat thistles in grass but didnt want to use something like roundup which would kill everything.  However, we were recommended by a neighbour  who had bought one to look at a weed wipe as you can apply the roundup directly to the weed without any drift - where you wipe it onto the weed is where is stays.  I borrowed our neighbours to see how it worked, but will definitely be investing one for this Spring. If anyone wants to know where my neighbour got it from I can ask him    :farmer:

I think you also get 'weed wands' now which use butane gas so you destroy the weed straight away with fire rather than wait for chemicals to burn it away gradually.  They're not big and are user friendly but not weed friendly.  :D  We have a lot of weeds and have a huge one that attaches to a big calor gas bottle and blasts them away never to return.  ;D
