Egg in Pocket - The solution.
« on: February 07, 2013, 10:19:24 am »
Yesterday while checking the coops I came across a single egg in one of them. Not being on an egg collecting mission I carefully placed it in the pocket of my waxed coat. I do this fairly often without any problems. This time I forgot all about it till I went to get in the car and put my hand in the pocket. Oops, now I remember where that egg went! A slight panic ensued until I spotted a bag of cat litter and after scooping as much as I could out of the pocket with a plastic bag I threw a couple of handfuls of the cat litter in. This morning I've taken the cat litter out to find a lovely dry, non smelling pocket. Result.

Some years ago I came back from Church one day - popped up to the chucks put a nice egg in my coat pocket, forgot about it for a week and next service put my hand in my pocket for the collection and pulled out an egg.   I felt a bit like a magician - well at least thats what the children in the next pew thought  ;D

my friend kept a small open bag of cat litter on her dashboard ...

the car had a slight untraceable leak and used to freeze up inside!

and yes, I think we've done the "egg thing"
I sometimes drop them randomly - one on the doorstep yesterday cos I was all excited at how many we'd got!!

Yup, put one in my pocket once, forgot about it, then went looking for my keys - patting hard all my pockets to hear the jingle of keys and splat, flipping heck.
