Yup, after a LONG wait, the cows have finally come home  :excited: :excited: :excited:

First bovine feet on Yonderton soil in over 25 years  ;D :excited: ;D :excited: ;D

Hope you can all see how excited and happy I am  ;)
Here's a quick pic of 'Palacerigg Jodie' (my wee heifer) I might keep her as Jodie........quite like the name  ;)

Just going off to try to make halters for them I've been watching youtube videos and reading up - will report back in a couple of days (once I untangle myself from the rope no doubt  :roflanim:)

Why is she not showing up in the Herd Book

Jodie's daddy is St Trinians Ghost?

Oh, get a bag of calf crunch for the halter training

I know, but poor Jodie - I don't want her to think I named the cow after her (because I didn't, it's her pedigree name, chosen by the breeder) my only thoughts on names were "anything but Jill" because Jack won't be here forever and Jill on her own would be a constant reminder of that  :-\
I still like Mable  ::) but will give it a bit longer to decide for sure  ;D

Been out with them again this afternoon (only cos I had to go to a farmers market this morning with pork  ;)) and spent a good 15 minutes brushing jack - who knew ? Cows like to get brushed (or maybe just this one ?) Every time I stopped he put himself back in front of me and moooo'd til I started again  ::) But he's lovely  :excited: :excited:
The heifer is still a bit skittish and stand offish - but she's had 2 'doses' of reiki, so it shouldn't be long now  :fc:

Thanks to everybody for your encouragement - there will be more photo's soon  ;D
