Hi everyone
Just wanted to introduce myself  ;D I'm a novice gardener - I've only just started growing my own veg this year. I have 4 brick raised beds, a greenhouse, a mini greenhouse and I'm getting battery hens  :chook:  next Sat (SOO EXCITED YAY!! ) I'm  growing peas, sweetcorn, spuds, spring cabbages, toms, cucumbers, courgettes, wax beans, beetroot, onions, lettuces, peppers and chillies, oh and lots and lots of marigolds!!  :D So far I've been battling slugs, and aphids and thrips, but today I've noticed that my cabbage seedlings have white semi transparent bits on them?? I don't know if it's powdery mildew or scorching or even some worm/caterpillar but it's seriously puzzling me at the moment, because I don't want the rest to get infected  :(
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and very excited to meet like minded people  :farmer:

I wanted to say welcome, so I am .... welcome.  Dont know much about plants, when I do get anything to grow the ragadon come and eat them.  Wish they would eat the weeds, I'm expert at growing those.

Hello and welcome Sagehen!
Your bits could be cabbage white eggs. Try brushing them off with your finger.
All the best, enjoy the forum, :&>

Welcome, and glad to have you along. Where are you? It helps to have an idea whether you're in Scotland, Sussex or Scandinavia, for example.

Best of Luck with the plot.
