How much are they worth?
« on: January 07, 2013, 08:30:55 pm »
Been offered two ewes, one is a shearling (texel cross suffolk) and the other is her mother (suffolk cross) so would be at least 4 years. Both should be in lamb  but not scanned. Not on a heptavac p system that I know of.

What would be a reasonable offer?

......as little as you can get away with  :innocent: However realistically if you can get the 2 in lamb, in good condition with feet ok and looking good £180-200 would be realistic......Don't worry re vaccinations, you can start that if you wish. I do not routinely vaccinate and many organic farmers don't unless known local problem such as pasturella....
