Hello, after a lot of upheaval etc we are in France and I would love to share my FB blog page if thats ok.
https://www.facebook.com/SustainableSmallholding/We used to have a smallholding in Cornwall with an ag tie property. After a successful few years commercially making cider we had a change in the family dynamics and decided to up sticks and move to France - where - guess what - we are smallholders. Ive planted another orchard here and brought my equipment and we made our first juice & cider in September last year, exactly a year after we moved. I've also written a book, which I mentioned a year or so ago on here briefly and its out on general release at the start of May. Dont know if Im allowed to tell you about it, but if so, I will post again. Its a practical guide to sustainable and profitable smallholding, based on what we were doing in Cornwall and what I learned from other smallholders when I worked for both the Rural Business School and Duchy College.
Now that Ive had my cataract done, I feel more able to spend time again chatting about things I love, although Ive been following the forum.
