Another gift that couldn't be wrapped!
« on: December 27, 2012, 12:05:32 pm »
OH came up with the suprise of the decade - combining my impending big birthday with a Christmas pressie - we're all (2 kiddies included) going to CHINA for 2 weeks!!!! :excited: :excited: :excited:
Brilliant, we are all so excited.  Big tour all over China seeing all the sites.

We usually have a week in the Cotswolds each year so a big change, kids have never been abroad and they play Kung Fu Panda and Karate Kid dvds endlessley so they are super excited.

Can't wait.  Well done OH, didn't see that one coming  ;D

Oh gosh, what a lovely surprise. I bet you can't wait.
I have been to Shangahi on business. Only got to stay there for a couple of days but really enjoyed it. You will definitely get the chance to try some interesting food if you are up for it.
I feel all excited for you  :excited: :excited:

W o W

Fantastic present - experience of a lifetime, I should think.

I worked in China for a couple of months in the 80s but I think it's almost unrecognisable now!  Will be very interested to hear and see your perceptions when you return  :)

Lucky you I am sure you will have a wonderful time. My brother and his wife were there this summer and reckoned that it was a fantastic holiday.

Thanks all, dying to tell everyone of course.  And we're all having great fun at tea time with the 'how to speak chinese' book of course, brilliant fun.  The kids are beyond themselves with excitement, so good to see.  ;D

Must get a pic of some chinese smallholders, they're missing out on tas.

My daughter spent 14 months travelling around Australia,Burma etc. and eventually had enough and wanted to come home. Then they got to China and she said she could have stayed forever! Enjoy your trip
