Do you want to share a sausage stuffer, mincer etc?
« on: November 14, 2012, 04:52:47 pm »
I live about 20 miles north of Aberdeen.  Does anyone live reasonably close to me and have a sausage stuffer /mincer  they would lend or hire to me? Or does anyone (or two, or three) want to split the purchase price of these?

We raised some nice pigs this year and will do the same next but I want to make my own sausages.  Purchase price for stuffer etc  is rather a lot for something that will only get used for about 7 days a year at most.  It would make sense to split the cost between at least two or possibly a group if anyone is in NE Scotland is interested.

Just a thought...are there any smallholder groups around you? It may be an idea for them as a group to purchase and then loan out to members???

It's probably worth asking on the Roundhouse forum as there may be people on there interested
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.
