Guess how much
« on: November 13, 2012, 05:40:15 pm »
I have been charged for a 60ml tube of cream for my GSD's rear end (he suffers from a condition called anal furunculosis - basically ulceration and  inflammation of the anus), I nearly died  :o :o :o

Hi, not sure how much but is there any human substitue for it? I find our vet is pretty fair and reasonable, OK, I think no more than £20 but I bet it was more £40!!

£105 for 60ml tube????!!!!!   :o :o   They told me it was 'expensive' and I only went ahead with it as I am hoping I will be partially reimbursed via insurance (as my dog is 10 I have to pay the first 20%).  But I couldn't believe the actual cost.  I've Googled it and can get for for £44 online ... but it doesn't seem to be doing anything anyway.  So the vets have charged over 100% markup  >:( >:( wouldn't be quite so bad if it was actually helping the poor lad!
