So whilst I do firmly believe that farm animals are herd animals, and I would never recommend people to get one of anything, I do recognise that animals are like humans, they are individuals. And it is possible for a farm animal to live on its own, and for it to be fine. However, that is usually been the result of a companion dying, when the animal is already older, and when bringing in a new animal would be more of an upset to the existing older one.
I have to agree with the other people on this thread, with him only being 12 months old, he needs a companion of his own. He's only young, and he needs a friend of his own kind.
