tech advice help please!!

i now have a new pc. it has come with microsoft security essentials, i have been using norton on my laptop and liked it for the parental controls i can apply to my daughters netbook.
to install norton on my new pc it needs me to remove microsoft security essentials.
what should i do???

All the security programmes hate all the other ones and try to not coexist with them.   :rant:

Norton on W7 is an uneasy alliance...  there are things I can't change (or even see what settings I have)  ::)

i normally use AVG and i cant get it to work on W7 at all windows security essentials is hard to get rid of!!!

well,norton has been implemented on the new one,it took seconds.myold laptop was sooooo slow. thanks for the advice.

My PC has just been cleaned up and I asked the expert about virus programmes etc - he said that of the free ones MS Security Essentials is as good as it gets.  So I'm sticking with it.
