 So sad, our last retired greyhound Sampson was diagnosed with cancer in Dec 2003 and given an equally dire prognosis , he lived quite happily until March 2004 when he finally gave me that look that said i've had enuff and was pts by our vet and was buried wrapped in his favourite duvet in the back garden. You'll know when its time, enjoy her company now.
Cancer is such a barsteward of a disease in all mankind & aninalkind.
Sending you all my

I cant imagine that any words will comfort you at the moment, but I know that we are all thinking of you. As others have said, cancer is devastating for both humans and animals. My Phoebe had a cancerous lump in her neck a few years ago, but was removed successfully, however I lost her to liver disease (it may have been cancer, I didnt have a PM done) a few months ago as you all know. Im sending you my very best wishes for the coming weeks/months. Stay strong and good luck.

I am soo sorry to hear that your baby has cancer.  I know how you feel.  My beautiful baby (westie girl) was diagnosed at the beginning of February last year with high grade mammory carsinoma - nothing could be done.  We too knew when it was time to let her pass to heaven - the most pain my heart has ever felt.
My mum was diagnosed with lung cancer in March this year too - again terminal, although she is taking everthing they are throwing at her.
I just want to send you love and I hope you have longer than advised with your pet.  They are ovbiously needing more angels in heaven!

So sorry to hear your news, I lost my whippet Holly in March and it is devastating. Said I couldn't get another dog but then took on a retired greyhound on 1st April (yes April fool), can never replace Holly but did help take my mind off her loss.

She was doing quite well till yesterday, but now she is deteriorating and does not want to eat, well she had a couple of slices of ham but that was it, her breathing is getting harder and the weight is dropping of her. Took one look at her this morning and knew - so the vet is coming tomorrow at 3 pm, the hardest phone call but it had to be made for her sake
