Totally devastated
« on: October 23, 2012, 03:35:51 pm »
Well we are totally gutted but our lovely beautiful Issy has got lung cancer and only a couple of weeks to live. We just cannot believe it and are still waiting to wake up from this nughtmare. She was only 8 in May. YOu still would not think she is terminally ill. Eats, plays, goes for a walk etc etc. Only thing was that yesterday we suudenly saw her breathing very shallow. and just did not like it. Took her to the vet, thinking that maybe it might be lungworm or an infection. Took her back this morning for an x-ray of her lungs and were told that her lungs are absolutly riddled with cancer. We just could/can not believe it - our last English Seter and so young. To be devastated does not even remotely describe how we are both feeling.

I know what a massive shock it is to hear the 'weeks to live' verdict when you set off to the vet assuming you'd be getting some jabs or other meds and all would be well again in a day or two.  I am so sorry,Perdita.    :bouquet:    And to Issy too. :dog:

We'll turn the dust to soil,
Turn the rust of hate back into passion.
It's not water into wine
But it's here, and it's happening.
Massive,
but passive.

Bring the peace back
