Boer billy goat (registered) wanted
« on: October 14, 2012, 08:34:03 pm »
Hello all,

We live outside Methlick, Aberdeenshire and we are looking for a young registered boer billy goat to buy or loan for our goat nannies.
Not too far away!
Thanks.

Have you checked the British Boer Goat Society website? The list of members is good because you can look at who is local. I know a lady in Aberdeenshire who has 3 females, and she going to speak to a breeder in Arbroath to check out his stud male. The guy in Arbroath is a member on her- ruives I think? I can get you his number if you want. Also know a man near Kinross who has 2 pure bred studs. Don't think he'd sell them though, but he may have a young one. Don't think his young ones will be 100% boer as all of his starter females were Anglo-Nubians.....

Beth,

Have checked BGS website with no joy.

Any phone numbers or names will be much appreciated.

We need a 100% boer billy so we can start a registered herd but may consider any billies that are available.

The BGS member Ruives is a guy called Scott and I have bought all his boer X nannies, I spoke to him a little while ago and he said he did not know of any but may now so I will call him tomorrow.

Many thanks.

Ian.

We have tried everyone from the BGS website from Scotland and some in north England and still no luck!

Have you seen Maddy's post on here as she has a registered 100% boer billy for sale. I know she is East of England but if its the right lad for you there is a goat transporter that comes highly recommended by Wytsend...
