The use of boar and boar taint seems to have been discussed before and it seems that either some people can not taste the difference or that some boars don't offer a different taste.
For what it is worth we had a great debate with our neighbours about the potential taste of our boar. We did a home kill on him and his sister. Because the boar had testicles he was stunned - hung and his testicles removed before being bled out. The theory being that if you remove the testicles tres rapidement then you do not get boar taint.
I butchered the boar and his sister and we have since worked our way thru all their meat, hams,bacon and liver. We have not rejected or noticed any difference between the many cuts we have eaten.
oh the boar was 10 months old.
