Hi heidih

Relatives this morning, another visitor later; just doing a quick catch-up with a cuppa then off to see the stock.  Sunny  :sunshine: with showers  :raining: today - a big improvement.
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Hi Heidi

Trying to finally see off my cold - returned to work on Saturday, thinking I was ok, only to be greeted by my colleague with "you look bloody awful" - well, thanks a bunch... ;D But she was right, I should have staid at home a little longer! But tomorrow I definitely have to get to work (staff meeting :( ), so I'm trying to psyche myself up today. And I just had to wait out a heavy shower (in between very sunny spells) to go to the library and pick up a book I'd ordered. Plus a friend contacted me and asked could I look after their cats and hens for a couple of days from tomorrow, so I'll be packing my bags again tonight... All in all, not very exciting! :-J

How are you keeping?

Do you all live up north?  Rain seems to be featuring quite a lot.  I hardly dare say it, but on the south coast we have barely had a drop of rain for 3 weeks or more, and could do with some now.  Mostly sunny, but cool enough for clearing brambles and the veg garden and 1000 other outside jobs before the normal mudbath returns and afternoons shrink to nothing when they fiddle with the clocks.   I really love this indian summer weather, slower, beautiful light, fantastic autumn colours on the trees this year.  Even the sea looks amazing in the late afternoon sun.    It won't last of course, but it's very special while it does.   Tamsaddle

Only a stones throw from you Richard but we've had no rain at all today - we got our deluge last night!
I too have given (or had taken!) blood today but not in the  :notworthy: generous manner of Richard.  Mine was for a test at the surgery. :(   Also mucked out the stables, baked bread and made carrot and orange soup  :yum: , groomed the dog and put in his eye drops and lots of housework which I have kept putting off.
Doing that swan thing - cool and calm on the surface but paddling like crazy beneath.

Picked up some furniture from friends to deliver to a couple who were homeless but now have a flat this morning.  This afternoon  friends visited and I'm just about to go and milk the goat.  :goat:

FF sounds like exciting work.  How do you contain yourself?   :roflanim:

I'm sitting waiting for the community physio to bring me a new walking stick to try.  She'll be here between 1 and 3pm so I can't do much.
