Batch of plum wine down the drain after we found this little guy swimming in a vat of the stuff - he was very unsteady on his feet and sadly died 








Later on though we got to meet....Scouting for Girls!! yay! They're so luvverly (this is my eldest 2 girls, Milli and Eloise - the younger 2 had to leave after the gig as their legs were hurting!)

Its a fairly large mouse - he was quite cute but having decided he probably poo'd and wee'd in the wine it went down the plug!
Ooh yes SFG - rather lovely I have to say. It was enough to get me in a dress with make up on    and yes, I was dancing, jumping and singing along to 'she's so lovely' - poor kids, so embarrassed.

Was it a water vole, I suppose it looks odd because of the alcohol content!

It actually chewed it way through a towel to get INTO the wine. Just hoping the cat doesn't find its body, she's a nightmare when she has a hangover.
I feel really guilty, but it took me several minutes to compose myself after I saw the poor thing staggering around and OH's ranting about "wasted  [size=78%] wine thanks to that [/size] vermin" just made me giggle more. I am in the doghouse (again)

but its got to be a better way to go than in a trap or as fun for a cat. Im not sure id have drunk that wine either plums, but id have had to have a long hard think about it

As i read the post i couldn't help singing " mouse piss wine" to Elke Brooks' song , 'lilac wine ' ! Shame about the wine though plums , even though i don't drink alco- hic , alco-hic , alco-hic-hol !

Well had we kept the batch it could have been the 'mouse wine' (house wine, geddit?!) the picture makes it look much bigger than it was, it was a tiny mouse but very cute.  And I honestly did what I could to save it and dry it out but when I got back from school pick up he'd died.
