Castlemilk moorit x Hebridean- photos?
« on: September 05, 2012, 08:34:14 pm »
Has anyone got any photos of the above cross as adult sheep? If these F1 individuals are paired back to pure Castlemilk would it be possible to breed a true-breeding, darker Castlemilk (with good Mouflon pattern and Castlemilk horn morphology?).
Also how 'jumpy' or 'flighty' are Hebrideans?
Thanks

Thanks for that Lisa, lot of it is luck and judges decision I am sure, however I do think they are great sheep.

Yours look stunning to me Carole.... and obviously to the judges too! :o)!
I have to say, the showing side of things has taught me LOADS about the Shetland breed.... and in only 2 shows too. I say to myself don't get too caught up in the winning and losing, just go, meet nice people, have fun and if I get any ribbons then brill. If not, I know I am the one taking my beautiful babies home anyway so all round I am the winner. LOL
