New girls meet sheepdogs
« on: September 03, 2012, 03:17:00 pm »
This is not how it is supposed to work!

Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

He got them sorted in the end, though:

:roflanim: Oh, they're clearly having the 'Baa Ram Ewe' conversation from Babe in the second picture!

Yes, just looks like my Zip (number 2 pic) loves wiggling under the gate to go for a chat with the ewe's.

He doesn't seem so wiggle under gate 2 though to see the ram!!!

:D definitely looks like a conversation about who's supposed to do this and who does that when 'those humans ' return  :roflanim:

Thats so like my lambs, as soon as you go in the field they come running to see the dogs and follow Niamh the wolfhound pup all over the place,
she used to be terrified of them but now she just acts as if they are not there

All our sheep chat to the dog except the Castlemilk Moorits, they're the only ones that stay well away from her.  The pygmy goats pin the dog up against the tree - she doesn't mess with those pygmies!

Hope you enjoy your girls Sally.

Are you going to the Carlisle show - I could get you another Muscovy female by then (apologies).
registered soay, castlemilk moorit  and north ronaldsay sheep, pygmy goats, steinbacher geese, muscovy ducks, various hens, lots of visiting mallards, a naughty border collie, a puss and a couple of guinea pigs
