Hello
« on: August 30, 2012, 09:02:44 pm »
I've got ten acres of rented land in Hertfordshire and keep sheep, a few chickens and my partner's retired horse and rescue companion.  I'm now mostly retired but we've have been doing this for quite a long time.  I tend to read the instructions and google when it isn't clear which is how I found this forum.  Hope not to bother you with stupid questions too often but you only stop learning when you're dead.

 hello and welcome from Durham.
It great to have another experienced hand to help with queries   I'm still waiting for somewhere to keep livestock so only have allotments, with a couple of hens  :chook: for the last 18 months or so.

No you haven't, you've just bumped into a bit of history...

Never mind, and welcome to the forum from Moray - it's a bit chilly here today with the wind gusting at 25mph and the sun hiding behind low cloud.

How's sunny Hertfordshire?  We used to live near St Albans, we kept chickens & ducks back then. Nowadays we have bovine beasties as well as the chickens & ducks.

What are your future plans for your 10 acres?

Regards

Sue
