Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Phil Tomlinson keeps a flock of registered Soay up on the north coast (of Scotland, not Lewis) and I know of someone near Aberdeen who has a small flock.  Alistair Ferguson may have some on North Uist.  I can't think of anyone on Lewis itself who has reg Soay, but Julie Suffolk the sec of the Soay Sheep Soc (advertises here) would be able to tell you of any new flocks.

I've sent you contact details privately.  I went to N Uist a few years ago to judge a fleece competition and the islanders were so keen for someone to teach them spinning again - that's great if you can fit the bill  :thumbsup:    I was so seasick on the ferry crossing that I never want to go back ..........

The crossings are not always bad! Uist is now getting a fleece processing mill, so there will be lots of spinning soon.
