It is blowing a blizzard here - winter is back. We have high winds, freezing cold and rain falling like it has never rained before. I made a fool of myself an hour ago - I went out to feed the animals and thought I would put the chickens to bed as they were soaked through. The first 3 went in no bother but Matilda decided she was not. I ran round after her and fell flat on my face - covered in mud from head to toes!

I had to go in the bath. I did catch the madam and could have rung her neck. I have hurt myself but not too badly and thankfully the glasses were not smashed. There you go something to laugh at.

oh dear! we'd only laugh at that if your friend had his camera ready and put it on u-tube or you've been framed. Glad you didn't hurt yourself in a bad way! It's always the smallest that have the free spirit, same here! I can't believe how dark it is, like November! Just waiting for the power to go now...Still have to go outside again and clear a broken egg out of the house, I only dried up from last time! I'll watch my step as it's so slippy!

It's raining here too, so my hair has gone back to its natural curly state - I really waste my time getting my hairdresser to straighten it! I nearly went my length tonight too - the ducks have made such a mess of their run I'll be glad to get them in the large dog cage and run I have set up with their new shed - it has a plastic base so can be hosed down.
Hope you're not too sore in the morning after your fall.

I have a pretty good idea that I'm alive anyway - I don't need this weather to tell me that

It was better than this last eyar - I moved down here end April 2008 and we had SUN every day for a fortnight at least.

God I hope the ol' dear makes it back ok. It's a long walk after all !! Bless her, but she shouldn't have been so critical of you in your younger years
