newbie from east Kent

Hi
I can't really class myself as a smallholder as such....but I do have 1/2 acre garden with large veg plot and greenhouse - I have been lurking around the veg section of the forum picking up tips for a while now  ;D
I am lucky enough to have a drainage ditch running through the garden which once dammed makes it ideal for my breeding flock of  miniature silver appleyard ducks. I also keep and breed various bantams

Hiya & welcome   from West Scotland
You may not class yourself as a smallholder, but you're definately on the slippery slope

  From Essex!
I have 1/3 acre and trying to squeeze everything I can onto it and pretend it is bigger. If I close my eyes it is MASSIVE!  :roflanim:
You can do LOADS with 1/2 acre  ;D
Miniature Falabella, Pygmy Goat, 2 Glouster Old Spots, 1 Long Island Red, 1 Light Sussex, 1 Dark Sussex, 1 Silkie, 1 Magpie Duck and hopefully some more chicks and ducklings due to hatch soon!

   from Shropshire.  I have less lands than you and I class myself as a smalholder (more microholder).  In fact, when I was last inspected, I was put down as a 'low risk farm', so it's official.   ;)
