Robert, I told my grandson when he went to Secondary  school, Never let yourself be bullied. If you are, don't hesitate, one short ,sharp bang on the nose, don't mess about. He went one further and when a smaller child was being bullied on the school bus he asked the boy involved to stop. What are you going to do about it, asked the other boy, aged 14. This, said James and punched him hard on the nose. Said boy then went crying to school and James was labelled a bully despite telling the headmaster he was only standing up to a bully. He was excluded from school, easier, I dare say than sorting out the real problem which was swept under the carpet.
I remember "sorting out" a boy who was bullying my twin brother (he is two hours younger than me and we were 11!!) and can remember the great satisfaction I felt, grinding that boy's face in the mud.
Would I do the same if my brother were being bullied???? :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\  Probably ;)

I wept when I read that this lady died without ever knowing where her son was buried. What a heavy weight to wear on your heart all your life. I hope she rests in peace now.

No council tax to pay,no rent, no mortgate, no electrc bills, no food bills, no phone bills, get plenty pocket money, get seen immediately with tooth ache, see doctor, get taken quicker in A&E, where IN PRISON we keep these bastards and they think we own them, they complaine if there is no tv, no gym equipment,, they got the life of riley oh and they complain cause there have no privasy to do a dump. If there is no doubt that they are convicted of a vicious crime take them on a boat to the middle of the sea and fling them over the boat and let the sea like enjoy them.

Brady & Hindley should have swung... end of.
There is a big difference between ethnic cleansing/torture and summery justice. If they were taken out in the 60's and hung like they should have been then society could have moved on, now we still talk about them and they seem to have everyones attention and cost the taxpayers millions.

While Northern Ireland has had its terrible problems, and there is no getting away from that, it still is one of the safest places to live in anywhere... why?... because 'summery justice' is still a fact of life... step out of the ordinary and you will suffer. Pedophiles, drug dealers and all sorts of scum are generally sorted out, usually with a swift 9mm to the back of the head or get out of the country and never come come back sort of visit in the middle of the night. It's 'rough justice' that isn't acceptable in a normal society, but I'm increasingly finding myself thinking it is definitely the way to sort out those bastards that are making life unbearable for the masses that comply with getting on with life. But where is the line between justice and society breakdown?... difficult one.

I believe Brady has been on refusing to eat for many years probably in an attempt to end his life.
But the our prisons system keeps him alive by feeding him by tube.

Is this not a great punishment?

It certainly keeps the essence of 'control' in the hands of the system and not Brady's. Something which I would imagine tortures him greatly! Not sure where I stand on it ethically but letting him starve could be seen as assisted suicide based on him being deemed mentally unstable -  so is it a legal thing to cover the hospital's side?
