evening all
well i suppose it had to happen at some point.
Kim is not herself today  :unwell: :pig: :'( . she fed ok this morning, but during the day didn't quite seem herself. She is just coming out of season, but seemed to sleep more today nothing specific but something not right.
tonight she has turned her nose up at her feed, she has eaten some apples and some veg and just seemed to want cuddles (which she is getting)
Have seen her pee tonight and poo (slightly dry and urine more concentrated) so i think she may be a bit dehyrated. OH trying to get her to drink as i'm typing and a friend is bringing round a thermometer (when they find it- ours isn't where it should be either :-\ )
going to ring vet if temp up (well will ring in morning anyway if no better)

It's been hot (for a change !) so this combined with the season could well be the reason  ;)

Fruit juice in her water will encourage her to drink - apple or tropical seem to be my lot's favourite
Hope all's well  :fc:

the vet thought she may have gone off her food/drink during season (doesn't usually happen - she loves food) but does show more behaviour change
this then made her feel under the weather that led her to not eat / drink - gets hot and feel poorly and got into a viscious cycle.
luckily she only had 1 day on only eating apples and veg and 1 days not eating drinking at all; vet came at the end of 1st day and the antibiotics and metacam helped and by the following evening (and OH's continually putting wet towels on her all day!! ;) :relief: :relief:
I've upset my kids as they said i was more worried about the animals than i was when they were ill :roflanim: :roflanim:

OH with the damp towels kept her cool

Cannot stress enough about keeping your pigs cool in this torrid humid weather. We just had a cloudburst and its iccky!
Big  :trophy:    to your OH for persevering with the towels it will have made a big difference.
Glad to hear she's ok.
