EGGS AND HENS

IV been using computer tec to see haw the hens have done 6 in each pen fed morning and evening 5 to 6 eggs a day i have cream leg bar wyndotts roads Sussex and Marians all good layers .Right these 6 hybrids  Dominant Barred D-959 from Feb till the 5Th off august they have done every day 6 eggs .next the legbars have only done half to whot the others have done wyndotts a bit more Sussex roads just over half .so these 6 hens have done whot 12 hens could do and Les food .I'm naw seeing haw black rocks can do .i must admit that these are the best only a medium size hen good size eggs .so iff you had 15 hens they would give you a return off 30 hens ,just fantastic and only £15 point of lay [size=78%]http://www.johnstonspoultry.com/barred.html[/size]

Looking at the web site it says egg production is >310 at 74 weeks does this mean that at this age they've laid 74 eggs or they are doing >74 a year at that age.

that's right 74 eggs At that age .I'm a utility breeder as well as a black rock agent but these birds are so good .The good thing is you could sell all at the last sale in October and start again in march.every time i phone in 3 days they are here ,i have a 100 a time .We sell most in 2 weeks.So that's a 5 month saving work and time .i might try and breed into my hens use a road

Sorry, I've confused myself now,
>310 eggs in 74 weeks (518 days) is about 3 eggs every 5 days.
or
at 74 weeks of age  >310 eggs is getting towards one a day.

365 days in 12 months 310 eggs so 55 days off 2 months and some lay more
