Emotional blackmail
« on: July 16, 2012, 02:00:12 pm »
Bonnie the shetland is getting a bit porky so following discussion with the vet this morning (she came out to do their vacs) she is now in her grazing muzzle. I can see the paddock without her seeing me and she seems perfectly happy with the muzzle drinking and grazing.
However, as soon as I go up to the paddock she comes and stands by the gate all big sad eyes with longing looks at the grass then up at me and back to the grass. MUST NOT GIVE IN ! :)

"You've gotta be cruel to be kind ... in the right measures"  ;)

Its heartwrenching isn't it?  One of our six has to wear one and none of the others want to be her mutual grooming partner.  Its for her own good physically but not psychologically so she gets a darn good scratch from us at every opportunity.  ;D :horse:
Doing that swan thing - cool and calm on the surface but paddling like crazy beneath.
