all the lambs have gone to their new homes
« on: July 04, 2012, 09:39:48 pm »
All the wether lambs have gone and all 7 have gone to fantastic lawn mowing/companion homes  ;D  Hubby is a little gutted we won't have any lamb in the freezer but how could I turn down selling them to loving homes rather than sending them to slaughter. I am keeping one wether myself (the first born) to keep our ram company. It all seems very quiet here now and I must admit I shed a few tears when the last three went  ::) ... might have to toughen up a bit for next year. I do love my sheep, best ever investment

Hey...thanks for that post... you have inspired me to try and sell them liveweight next year rather than to slaughter. I always get way too attached and end up keeping them as grass grazers... but i already have 9 wethers and 2 rams and really MUST reduce them before the next lot born! LOL
From 3 to 30 and still flocking up!
