anybody used crovect on goats

Why would you need to? Goats are much cleaner animals than sheep, and if they do soil their backends (after a few ash branches too many it can happen quite quickly) a wash with warm water and shampoo will sort it - I have never heard of flystrike in goats!
 
Also if you are milking them it would be unlikely that you could use CRovect on them.
 
If they are bothered by flies in certain weather conditions a natural fly repellent (probably available for horses) should sort it.

we live on the edge of aconifer plantation and suffer seriously with flys have kept sheep for a long time in fact many years and was only showing concern and asking for opinions

As far as I know any pour-on for sheep will mean that the milk cannot be used for human consumption. Corvect and Clik would be longer than Vetrazin, but IF there is a problem I would use a benign one as for horses or house the goats.

Just wash their heads with some vinegar in some water to keep the flies away from their eyes.
I think I would be more concerned about deer ticks with Lymes desease living next to conifers.

I use a really nice, essential oils fly deterrent from Barrier (will see if I can find a link)

This is the stuff Barrier enhanced formula fly repellent

I like the smell, the goats don't love it but I think they prefer it to midges. And it helps keep flies away too. I've never had fly strike on goats either but I think the flies are pretty annoying to them.

I'm happy using the essential oils spray on milking goats, which I wouldn't be with Crovect.
