Mojo went loco.......
« on: June 19, 2012, 11:58:56 am »
Re-opening the Its Baaath Time shop tomorrow (Thank you Karen for the prod  :-*   )
Been trying to juggle 4 children, ill mother, manic household, livestock amongst other 'stuff' that's not going too well and something had to give. Sadly it was my soap business.
Have decided though that too much work, time and energy (not to mention money) has gone into setting it up - I can't let it go.
I will be rethinking a lot of the products and bath bombs are out the window (they annoy me) there will be alternatives though including something zesty and zingy for men, bath milk, some shaving products and some truly indulgent souffles for the bath.
Might be asking for volunteers to test some newbies if thats Ok  :)

Plums! Is that a pic of you in the bath!  Can't remember what your last pic was but I can see it's changed.

We are coming down to Cotswolds for our annual holiday shortly - do you sell from home or just on the net - sure I could buy lots.  Anything with pachouli is a favourite (did I spell that right) - I know you do a packet of various soap slices?  Its a great idea, but when there's kids and livestock it all has to run smoothly to fit anything else in - first hiccup and it all goes plum shaped.  Don't give up  :trophy:

I didn't mean to prod you  :innocent:  but it's good to get a bit of advice from a seasoned pro, when you're an over enthusiastic amature (and potentially blowing things up  :D ) I'm still waiting (though the patiently bit has gone  :-\ ) for my extra thermometer - then I'm all set and just need to get brave. Be prepared for messages of variable panic  :o   ::)   ;D

I have no tips for balancing homelife/work, sometimes things runs smoothly, sometimes not. Mostly manic chaos is the order of the day with us  ;D  But you know what ? I'm getting used to it and actually, quite like it (plus, it's a great excuse for the house being messy  )

Baaath milk ?  ;)  That sounds like a good product to have mrs   Feel free to pencil me in as a tester, if you need me  :eyelashes:

Goosepimple, if you've not tried Plums' soaps (did I get the apostrophe in the right place ?) you should - they are fantastic   My favourite is the Reggie-mintal - but they are all great and leave your skin feeling really soft and silky.
Karen x

;D  it was a picture of my togg wether , Reggie gurning at the camera before.

I can sell from the house and it would be lovely to meet you. Have some patchouli soap and would willingly make up some bespoke bath sherbets or creamers with the same if you liked.
Re-opened the website shop to a flurry of orders yesterday which has cheered me up, there were obviously some customers waiting and I appreciate their loyalty  :)  Like you say though, a hiccup and its very hard to keep everything afloat - trying to do much of this as a single mum and its been hard. Thank you for your kind words  :bouquet:  xx

In terms of business, shops etc, I far prefer a small selection done well, than an over-ambitious selection that causes too much hassle for the customer (too much choice!!) and the maker (eeeek)!

Ooh just saw your message Karen, sorry - prod was much needed, send any emails you need to - am here if I can help  :bouquet:  you will be fine though, its just lots of fun and a chance to be creative with the reward of a nice pampering bath after  ;)

I bought some teabag type thingies and I basically make up a 'milk' with goats milk powder, sea salt, epsom salts, essential oils, flowers etc. so you get all the lovely stuff but no gunk in the bath after to clean up - simples! Just not had chance to try it yet....
Will send you some for testing then if that's ok!

btw - got your email earlier, not had chance to reply yet - outlook keeps crashing on my PC and my blackberry is currently flat as a pancake  ;D

I'll pop on your website tomorrow and have a look at all your goodies - they sound good enough to eat - cedarwood, that floats my boat.

yes it would be lovely to pop in and say hello, we're staying nearish to you I think this year, but don't want to hassle a busy person, will bring OH's purse though..... ;)

You wouldn't be hassling! Would be lovely to meet you and the kettle is always on  :)   we are Cotswolds borders so likely that wherever you are staying is fairly closeby.
As for getting myself into trouble...I am stepping away from the PC now as second glass of wine consumed and am likely to make myself look even dafter  ;D  am generating much heat from the blushing!
