Badger
« on: April 26, 2009, 11:37:48 pm »
I saw my first ever live Badger a few minutes ago. We were at a friends for dinner tonight and on the drive home something ran in front of the car and it sort of stopped and stared at the head lamps. At first I really had no idea what it was but was informed  that it was indeed a badger and as soon as I heard that I recognised it and it ran off into the fields. It was over in seconds but it was nice to see one - without it being lying dead on the side of a road.

Its wonderful isnt it.  We have a badger set at the bottom of our field, yet have only ever seen them once.  Although plenty of track marks in the mud at the stream edge where they cross into next door's field.
