Just got back home Brilliant staff at Hereford Hospital, ligaments torn , bone shattered, all screwed and glued back together within a couple of hours of breaking the leg, still a bit spaced out on 2x10 units morphine and loads of other pain relief.
had a very dignified journey to the chopper , in our wheelbarrow, and the trip to Hereford was a nightmare with the wind buffeting us all over the place, they reccon about a 12 week job to get back to normal.
Thank you all for your messages of good will I really appreciate it.

Excellent photos  ;D

I'm glad they've been able to fix it and hope that he recuperates quickly.

Are you managing?

Some of us just pays for the Helicopter Experience ticket...  ::)   Seriously, very glad they were able to get you to the right place so quickly and get you patched up and home.  Now, can Gabi cope with everything else and a lame Doug to care for...?  :o

I love the wheelbarrow Doug - it could only happen to you  ;D ;D   Will you be featuring on 'Helicopter Rescue'?   Was Wills your pilot   :innocent: ?

I hope it all heals up cleanly.  It will be interesting to see how long you do as you're told and rest the foot - but you must  8)
Be good and here's a bouquet (for Gabi  ;D:bouquet:
