Oh no ...again
« on: May 31, 2012, 03:57:26 pm »
Not having a good week.

One of the AN kids is looking a bit iffy when I went in at lunchtime.  Weather has changed, cooler and wet, after lots of sunny hot days (and nights).  Have jabbed her, she has taken her bottle.

Maybe I am getting paranoid, and its just a chill.  She is not scouring (well not yet at least) but she seems wobbly, or her head is.  No runny nose, but maybe its early days.  Cannot ring the vet as phone up the blink yet again.

How old is she ?   If under 3wks.......give her some gaviscon...yes that is right,  about 5ml-10ml if liquid or 1 tablet crushed in a small amount of milk.
Floppy kid syndrome can occur quite suddenly...caused by change in the gut acid.... gaviscon will right this within an hour or two.
Even if older, I would still go the Gaviscon route....have done this myself and it worked.

Poor girl.  Hope she is well soon.  sounds like Gaviscon is something we should keep in stock.
