Lemonade

This is lovely and moreish, if a bit of a faf.

Squeeze some lemons.

For every 4 floz of lemon juice, put 5 floz of water, 6 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of grated lemon rind in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring continuously. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.

Allow to cool then add the lemon juice.

Bottle and chill.

Dilute 1 part lemonade to 3 or 4 parts sparkling water, depending on your taste.

I'll give this one a try later.

Normally I just squeeze 1 lemon and lime into a jug and add about a pint of water (still or sparkling, both works well). No sugar and very quick to make up.. but then I do like nice strong flavours, so not sure what other people would think of it.

their is no right or wrong way to make up things (supermarkets and governments have created the comfortability we have today)

I usually bung whole lemons, sugar and water into a liquidiser, whizz, strain and hey presto - yummy scrummy!
