well
this weekend is D day for the turkey chicks
Little blue has 6 under a broody and we have some in the incubator...........(the girls outside arn't due till tuesday)
if none are fertile then he'sour christmas dinner :P :P :P :P

think karma has come to us  :'(
went to move the water tray in case they come early  and found 2 hatched and fallen in! :(
1 pipping now soat least that answers the question

Good luck everyone. We've got some turkey eggs in the incubator but not due to hatch for a couple of weeks.

but the third is doing ok

Charlie is just a modern man, he has definitely had his wicked way with the girlies!
We had two turkey chicks hatched, one bright yellow & black, the other paler & grey. Does this mean anything?!
Fingers crossed for the other 4 eggs, Mrs Light Sussex is looking after them very well  :thumbsup:

can't tell the difference till older and the boys start strutting ;)
the black will be pure norfolk black, the other slate x norfolk black
any more arrivals

thanks, I told Mister that they were Norfolk black (but really wasn't sure!)

No more yet, will give them a few days yet.

They are very brave little things, not at all as flighty as the chicks, who are completely crackers!
