Right or wrong I kept the last castlemilk in with her lamb and a half for one week - I know your shaking your head at me Tizzala but she is sooooo tiny. On day 7, saturday I turned them out to the closest paddock so I can keep an eye on them - seems to be feeding but not a lot of growing - pics below

One of my Shetlands had the same thing twin tup lambs and one was a good bit smaller has made up a bit is 4 weeks old now. I think he will always be that bit smaller time will tell best of luck with Lilli Pockets. By the way how did you get on with the two Pygmy's you got from me cheers.

She looks loveley , no I'm not shaking my head at you, we only turned ours out on grass for the first time yesterday as the weather here has been foul. then we had two nice dry days over the weekend so turfed them out of the barn, now it looks like it has rained all night and the place is soaked yet again, and soooo cold , I wish I could afford some of that global warming stuff they keep on about.
Love your nice fences , flat paddocks and knee deep grass, I'm jealous.

how did you get on with the two Pygmy's you got from me cheers.

They are lovely, the shy one, Willow is so sweet, calm and a wonderful mum to twin girls and the black one we call Buffy is such a character, bit of a nutter and takes on the boys!!

Trouble is grass is either too short in places or too long - or do I have fussy sheep - madness, took the mower to one bit yesterday before it gets out of control!!!

Do primitives eat grass?  My grass is already too long and they would sooner struggle to browse the hedges than graze. Worry that there could be something poisonous in there, just have to trust that they know best, I guess.
