At Last...!!!!
« on: May 09, 2012, 09:55:06 pm »
At last the piggies new pen is finished and they have taken up residence.

OH has done a wonderful job, converting a bog standard shed and making it a delux, lined pig abode with stable door, so the top can be shut to help keep the rain out.

The girls are in their element all this to new ground to trash... ::) ::)

They have found that the 'new' fence is not to be mucked about with as it can 'bite' and there was several squeals and standing in the middle of their paddock not quite sure what was happening with their tails stuck straight out, shaking - they soon learned how close they could get without getting zapped.

Their temporary pen had to have sheep hurdles put all round otherwise they would have dug their way out, infact OH had to drive some galvanise in in between the pens as they were nearly in with the chickens next door - they had dug down about 1'.

It's been raining nearly all day today and they haven't come out of their 'new' house it's big enough for eating in, in the dry and their straw bed is huge.  They are two well contented pigs... :pig: :pig:

The 'mud' pen pic was their temporary pen after they had trashed it...great fun though. ;D Just got to put it back to how it was - with green grass and clean wood chips around the hen house.

You are never to old to learn something new
