What an idiot - and I do remember checking as well - brain not working - need a new hard drive. How is she doing any signs she's on the up?

Sad news I am sorry to say.

After thinking long and hard, I decided I could not keep Jinty going any longer.  Although not as bad as the first time, in that she was not blind, her eyes not rolling back etc.  she was still down flat out, and rigid, and did not appear to be making progress - ie not trying to get up.  She was still eating and drinking, and enjoying the leaves I collected for her.

Its not an easy decision to make, but even had I got her up on her feet again, there is no saying whatever it was would come back.

Such a shame though, but I think I made the right decision, as I had given her every chance to get better.

A really difficult decision, well done for facing it.  You've tried longer than most would.

Thoughts and prayers with you and hoping for some better luck from now on.

The right decision...I really feel for you.....you get more than averagely attached to somebody you have nursed so carefully.

So sorry about Jinty, you tried so hard, but sometimes we have to accept we can't win, you gave her much more than many would, (not meaning anyone on this forum :) ),and she obviously was well loved, a hard decision after all the caring you've done, but well done, hugs from me as well, take care.

I didn't see your original posts about Jinty's illness but I have experienced listeria and it sounds very similar. :bouquet: Good luck.

What a week of tragedy , we are so sorry for you loosing her, Had a call from friends in Yorkshire this morning, A colt they were weaning jumped out of its box yesterday and impaled itself on top of a gate, died instantly, You invest so much time and effort into animals and then loose them. very sad.
