My SIL has had dinner at Buckingham Palace with Prince Charles.
My FIL met the queen at the opening of the visitor centre at Westonburt Arboretum (he designed it).

I don't suppose my OH counts as famous   ::)

ha ha - I was wondering whether, now she's in Practical Pigs, it counted that I'd met Karen?  :D

Quite right too but sometimes 'famous' people are complete muppets efffected and affected by their popularity and sometimes they are lovely just as in my ordinary world.  I met Jim Davidson in a local pub years ago, and he was completely obnoxious to me (he was drunk) saying stuff like 'you don't want a drink off me because I'm rich and famous' to which I thought (but didn't say) ' no its because you are a complete dick'  ;D

I got the gorgeous David Essex to sign his book in March, he asked me how I was, I didn't think he was speaking to me then when I realised I'm afraid I just squeaked fine - what a fool lol  ::)

I cashed a cheque for Trevor Bannister (Mr Lucas in "Are you being Served") many years ago, Ive also met Carole Vorderman, the chap who played PC Valentine in "The Bill", and the girl who played the secretary in "Brush Strokes".
I also stood behind Melinda Messenger in a queue at a cashpoint once, and to say that she is stunningly beautiful with flawless skin in the flesh is a complete understatement.

Oh yes, to my later embarrassment, when Trevor Bannister got to my till, I did actually say "Im free"..I really did!!!

The Beatles and Jane Asher at a motorway service station on the newly opened M6 ( I think it was the M6  )in 1967 . and got their autographs , spoke with them for about 10 minutes 7 cracked anti scouse jokes.

Several of the grand pris drivers that year at Silverstone .
Mage several times and numberous lesser royals ,  John Major and his Missus at home  .

Some bald head git who screeched at me " Don't you know who I am ? " after I said " Wait your turn ".
So I then I  said " NO , go and ask a policeman for help or go back to the hospital before they discover you're missing " He was called Brian Mahwinney .
Have met & enjoyed a brill afternoon with a guy called Ron Jensen who was chief adviser to G W Bush .
Have had David Mellor sitting next to me cracking jokes and stuffing his face .

Met Gordon Jackson , Ruth maddock and a few other people of the stage else where ..

BIG Baps big tips Windsor who's tips are not a s big as her foul uneducated mouth and a whole load of others during my life .

Met and had a walk with a pair well know terrorists for a wee while who have started the baby kissing route in political life .

None of them made as much of an impression on me as a 23 yr old black guy confined to a wheel chair with spina biffida who has to have help 24/7 to keep him a live ..he is my hero and I know him well .

Which he promptly did!  :D had a bouncer go and get him back and let him in. Saw him in there later and he brought me a pint of cider. good lad!!
