A day of firsts

I picked up my first 2 weaners this morning and then this afternoon I got my first egg (not from the weaners  ;D)
Life is like a bowl of cherries, mostly yummy but some dodgy bits

It must have been the shock of the pigs arriving  ;D enjoy. The first home grown egg is always the best  :thumbsup:

Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Cut down on the chicken pellets - double yolkers are nice to eat, but not so nice for the poor wee hen that lays 'em!   :o

Thanks Sally,
They have layers pellets in a galvanised dispenser so they can eat them when they want.  What would you suggest I do instead?
