5 Girls and 1 Boy

Yey all our kids have arrived safely! We have 5 little girls and 1 little boy. Here are some pics  :)

just a quick question:

At the moment each mum and their 2 kids all have there own space but how long would you normally leave it before mixing them all in together. As we have noticed a couple of the mums are being nasty towards the others kids and we dont want them getting hurt.

Thank you!

Lauren :)  :goat:

They're lovely

I let the kids out to play together for patches of time and keep the mums separate. One of mine, Ellie, is quite bolshy to other goats and yes, she'd bash Rowan and Rowan's kids.

When they go out into the paddocks, the adults are separate and the kids squeeze under the gates anyway to play together  ;D

The kids could be 3 months old and in a lot of space (couple of acres) before I let them out all together, and in the byre I won't be doing that at all, the adults will be in their pens.

They are lovely, but if you want them to remain that way , don't let them mix untill they can defend themselves the mums will be very protective for a while yet, big open spaces are the place to mix .

So sweet , not had any experience with goats but I did have a mare who was very foal proud and had to keep her away from the others for a couple of week. She made a face if we went near her and her foal that would have frightened the bravest.
