Oh that's crap Harry. I have 12 duck eggs in the incubator just now but a bit worried as lastnight for some reason the temperature dropped a few degrees, no idea why. I will leave it for a few days before I candle them and see if they are ok - or not! Good luck with the 1 you managed to hatch.

I had 20 blank ones last week so I know how you feel. Go out and buy 36 chocolate ones and eat them - you'll feel better. Works for me...

bad luck, I hate it when things like that happen. i have 6 ixy eggs in at the moment, all fertile, at the 18 day stage now, fingers crossed. I usually candle at 12 days, and again at 18. where they all from your stock?.. maybe your fellow had a bad week.

Can you all sell these chicks easily?  Or are they for yourselves?

ixworths are one of the best utillity breeds, girls lay well and the boys are very chunky. they are a rare breed and there is quite an interest in them. i am keeping most for myself and swapping or giving away the rest.

Sorry for the bad news, I had 15 in the incubator and only 1 hatched.  Thought it was just me - sorry misery loves company - shall have another go in a week or so with more optimism now.
