Prolapse?!

If a cow prolapses, can she be bred from in the future?  - A friends cow did so today after calving - Vet reckons there's no reason she won't calf normally next year - would you experienced people agree, or would you not risk it?

As an inexperienced cattle breeder, I'd take the vet's advice, since s/he probably sees more prolapses than any breeder.

cow prolapse when they had an large calf born and the cow will tend to keep on pushing, hence they have an prolapse, if so ring the vet,they come out and give the cow an eppydulral? can't spell. push the prolapse back in and place an stitch on the vigina.

we had cows that prolapse in the past have gone on to produce calves and never prolapse. 10years plus they will get weak on the backend and that is when you call it a day.
