 :wave: hi i live with my mum on her 8 acre smallholding, we have 9 pigs  :pig:, 2 ponies :horse:, 5 goats :goat: 1 to kid, and 2 kids, 5 sheep, 11 cade/orphan lambs :sheep:, aswell as a handful of ducks and chickens :&> :chook:, i own one pig i hand reared (wilbur) and 8 pekin chooks (2cocks), ;D, my mum wanted me to join,because i often get her to ask questions on here  :-[ so i did, i'm hoping to get into a veternary college to :farmer:

You have a good start as a vet with all the animal experience  :thumbsup:  get yourself a volunteer job in a vet practice too. It helps when there are high numbers of applicants with good exam results, as well as helping find work placements through the vet college years.

Of course with all those animals squeezing time to volunteer is hard, but well worth while  ;D

I have just moved to Carmarthenshire too.  Currently we have 2 geese (can't find an icon for them) 1 duck  :&>, I cat  :cat:, 1 dog  :dog: and 4 chooks  :chook: :chook: :chook: :chook: that only arrived yesterday.

thank you for the warm welcomes, i've been here for a yr, and currently got most animals, although i would love a house cow  :( but no geese,  (i'm scared of them)  :-\
