That's true, it was just a phone call - trying to avoid excessive vet bills - but then the only apparent symptom was the lack of shells.

Well OK, I'm happy to keep them - as long as they aren't going to infect an new birds - I suppose as ex-batts I don't know how old they actually are. I'll get some new birds for eggs - probably not ex-batts this time:-
