Does anybody have first hand experience of ISAs (not banking) - i would be curious to know what your birds are laying? Thanks

I've only had one Isa, so not overly familiar with the breed in general. But she was a great wee layer, 6 eggs a week and a medium sized egg.

 Isa browns lay approximately 300 eggs per year each, ours are terrific layers but not wonderful mothers,so they do not go broody easily.
Hope that helps,

Yes, really good layers. More or less one per day. Very easy to handle - calm and friendly.

Dont go broody but if you only want eggs then that is an advantage. Mine never seem to be as long lived as say Black Rocks but that maybe just the ones that I have had.

fab layers, eggs in a range of colours!
6 or more a week
Soft as a brush
Started way before the pure-breds here, and will lay further into the winter too

Thanks all, what you have said is true already. 3 eggs in the 1st  2 days since they arrived, and my daughter has got 2 of them eating out her hand already.

Isas are the predominant chooks here, or so it seems! Really good layers and I have had some huge eggs, the biggest being 95gms, a real whopper.
