The ups and the downs
« on: April 05, 2012, 10:30:49 am »
When I moved in I inherited a pair of geese and 2 female ducks.  The geese are too old to lay (so I was told) but I have noticed they still like a bit of hanky panky  ;).

The two ducks were reduced to one last week after Mr Fox paid a visit. The lone duck has taken to following the geese around although they don't care for her much.

This morning OH went into the pen and found our first duck egg  ;D.  He brought it in as a surprise for me and dropped it on the way  :'(

We manage to salvage a bit so the dog will get it as part of his tea tonight  :dog:

thats the way it goes!

My OH knocked the pan over of our very first goats milk while it was pasteurising ... I'd turned it round to stir it as he'd wandered off, then he stood by the stove to take his coat off (!) and caught the handle!
Which somehow made it my fault ::)
