Hi all and guess what!!!
30 days of patience..............waiting , caring, turning eggs, checking temperature, checking humidity, building brooder, restoring and painting duck house...........48 hours of fear after the first signs of pipping, whether they will be strong enough to make it out of their shell, is the temperature right ? is the humidity too high or too low ?...............finally, they made it............. I am very proud!!!! All my 5 ducklings have hatched and are now a week old. 5 lively ducklings, strong, healthy, noisy, very lively and soooooooooooo beautiful

OK, just uploaded a photo to try, as I've not done this before and I had to re-size it. Lets hope it'll work. Here's the first 3 of the duckings (the other 2 hatched the following day)

I've collected 6 duck eggs so far, for after the chicken eggs hatch (hopefully) then I've got my eye on some large light Sussex eggs

These are Aylesburys and they are BIG!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes I wonder if they will be as big as geese, looking at their size now. I am so chuffed. This was my first try at hatching after loosing all of my beloved ducks to a fox in one night. I got the eggs of ebay and can't believe all of them hatched.

Brilliant - luv the pics - what do you feed them on for the first week or so?
Ours are due on the 15th April - mum is sitting on 15 (muscovies).
