Yummy, love the stuff but now buy tinned

So funny how Rhubarb is "In" and Expensive, whereas it used to be common and free!! I absolutely love Rhubarb but you (well I) need loads of sugar on it...we used to have a stick to dip in sugar as kids...never been able to grow any as yet, its dies a death in my hands in every garden I have had...may try again now we have a big empty space from tree felling...
I worked in catering and my college is now a psychology teacher but as we both had young children we waitress-ed and did food prep for the posh bods in a multi national company...anyway, she brought in some Rhubarb and put it on a counter with the following rhyme
Whats Long and thin
Covered in skin
Pink in parts and
Shoved in Tarts?

It did not go down too well but the chef took the stuff in the end!!!!
