Oh good grief, 6-10 inches of snow forecast here on Tues. Glad I've got the option of my neighbour's old barn for lambing......

Already got the thermals...snow shoes..etc.
OH has made a lambing pen already for the Shetlands. ( 4 due anytime soon )

I checked them at 4 this morning in my housecoat...what a breeze..!.

Got more wood in for the stove...and candles for any power cut.

We're forecast light rain Monday and sleet / light snow Monday overnight. What a shock for the pigs -  three months old and never seen rain :-)

it is a bit fresher here this morning it will be the sheep i will be bothered about they were clipped on Thursday

Too hot yesterday here in Devon,  too cold today. March has been a misty month here and there is an old saying "As many mists in March, as many frosts in May"
As long as it stays dry for my lambs whilst they're little I shan't mind the cold.

i knew somebody would ask that  i did not think it would be you FW
they have to be clipped in march for showing
they can still come in if it is wet and cold

We have no oak trees up here, so the ash is always out first - must be why it's always so wet

well here in central Scotland neither the oak or ash are out  sycamore is just budding hawthorn is just greening up

Oh aye, neither is out yet. We're at about that stage too, high up in Cumbria. We do have daffodils however, which make me smile nearly as much as lambs

here, the ash is just out, the sycamores leafy and the hawthorne and blackthorn and cherry are in blossom.
magnolia and cammelias are nearly over mores the pity, i havent spent nearly enough time with them this year.

Even I like to stir it sometimes 
You should keep a sensible breed      We hand shear ours in May for showing - still have plenty of fleece by June/July.  Don't think we'll be showing any this year though
